Board Governance
ReConnect, Inc. is governed by a diverse group of independent members along with the Executive Director. Members of the Board of Directors hold a legal and fiduciary responsibility for the operations of the organization and bring a variety of legal, business, and management experience to the governance of the organization. The individuals listed volunteer their time to serve as Board members of ReConnect, Inc.

ReConnect, Inc. holds itself accountable to our donors, clients we serve and the public, as such, ReConnect, Inc. Board of Directors have adopted the following code of ethics to govern Board Members, Staff, volunteers, contractors and other individuals working with ReConnect, Inc.

I will strive to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest that could directly or indirectly harm the image and reputation of ReConnect, Inc.; as such, I will recuse myself from any matters in which I, my employer, or any member of my family, may have a direct or indirect interference.

I will not participate in any actions involving ReConnect, Inc. directly or through a third party in which I stand to gain financially, regardless of the value.

I will make every effort to ensure that matters coming before the Board or in providing services to clients are dealt with fairly, objectively, and openly with no regard or preference to race, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability or familial status.

I will make every effort to maintain the confidentiality of matters coming before the Board whether involving personnel matters, clients’ services or the organization’s affairs. As a staff member I will maintain strict confidentiality in providing services to clients and with information to which I become privy regarding client matters and the business affairs of ReConnect, Inc.

I will neither accept nor approve significant favors or gratuities for myself or other members of the Board or staff beyond reasonable reimbursements or salaries which have been previously approved.

Donor's Rights
ReConnect, Inc. has adopted the following Bill of Rights to ensue that our donors and grantors have confidence in giving:

To be informed of the ReConnect, Inc.'s mission of the way ReConnect, Inc. intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purpose.

To be informed of the identity of those serving on ReConnect Inc.'s governing board and its executive officers, and to expect the board and executive management to exercise prudent judgment in their stewardship responsibilities.

To have access to ReConnect Inc.'s. most recent financial statements.
​

To be assured that their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.

To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.

To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the fullest extent provided by the law.

To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers or employees.
​

ReConnect, Inc. will never hire professional fundraisers.

To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from internal mailing lists.
​

To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
In addition to our Code of Ethics and Donor Rights, ReConnect has also adopted a Conflict of Interest Policy and Organization By-laws to govern the organization's business. All policies and governance documents extend to staff, volunteers and contractors.
